Quotes: get and compare vendor rental quotes

What is this?

The Quotes tab is how you shop a rental to your vendors. Send a request, let vendors respond with their price, then compare the bids side by side and accept the one you want. Clue tracks every request from sent to awarded.

• Buyers, see the lowest bid at a glance and award with confidence.
• Project managers, know a rental is priced and approved before it shows up.

How to use it

Step 1: Get quotes

Click Get Quotes on a rental request. The summary cards at the top track each request: Awaiting Quotes, Quotes In, Awarded, and Completed.

Step 2: Compare the bids

Open a request to see every vendor's response together. The lowest comparable bid is marked, and each vendor shows its price and status.

Step 3: Accept the winner

Accepting a quote is the decision. It awards the vendor, drops the others, prompts once for the PO number, and sets up the rental in a single step.

• Statuses: Awaiting Quotes, Quotes In, Awarded, Completed.
• One-click accept: Accepting captures the PO and creates the rental at the same time.
• Approvals: If a total is above your approval limit, it waits for an approver before it is finalized.

Tips

• The lowest bid is highlighted, but you can accept any vendor.
• Once awarded, send the PO to the vendor so they have it on file.
