Overview

The AI Report Builder lets you create custom reports using natural language. Describe what you want to see, and the AI generates the appropriate query and visualization.

Accessing AI Report Builder

Step 1: Navigate to INSIGHTS → Reports.

Step 2: Look for "AI Report Builder" or "Custom Report" option.

Creating a Report

Step 1: Describe what you want in plain language.

Examples:

  • "Show me all assets that were idle more than 4 hours yesterday"
  • "List work orders completed last week by mechanic"
  • "Compare fuel usage by project this month"

Step 2: The AI interprets your request and generates results.

Step 3: Review the output and refine if needed.

Refining Results

If the initial results aren't quite right:

  • Add more detail to your description
  • Specify date ranges explicitly
  • Clarify which fields you want to see

Saving Custom Reports

Once you have a useful report:

  1. Click Save or Bookmark
  2. Name your report
  3. Access it later from saved reports

Best Practices

  • Be specific about time periods
  • Use CLUE terminology (assets, work orders, etc.)
  • Start simple, then add complexity

Limitations

The AI may not understand:

  • Very complex multi-step analyses
  • Data outside your permissions
  • Non-standard terminology

Tips

  • Experiment with different phrasings
  • Save reports you use frequently
  • Share saved reports with team members
