When operators report inspection issues or fault codes trigger alerts, knowing how to review and resolve them keeps your fleet safe and operational.
Viewing Inspection Issues
- Navigate to Inspection Issues in the Maintenance section
- View the list of all reported issues
- Key columns include:
- Asset - Equipment with the issue
- Severity - Critical, Warning, or Informational
- Status - Open, Acknowledged, Resolved
- Item - Inspection item that failed
- Description - Details from the inspector
- Reported By/At - Who reported and when
Issue Severity Levels
- Critical (Red) - Safety hazard, equipment should not operate until fixed
- Warning (Yellow) - Needs attention soon, may affect operations
- Informational (Blue) - Minor issue, schedule for next service
Acknowledging an Issue
Acknowledge issues to show you're aware of them:
- Click on the issue row to open details
- Click Acknowledge
- Add any notes about planned action
- Status changes to "Acknowledged"
Creating a Work Order from an Issue
- Open the issue details
- Click Create Work Order
- Issue details auto-populate the work order
- Add additional information as needed
- Save the work order
- Issue is linked to the work order for tracking
Marking Issues as Resolved
- Open the issue details
- Click Mark Resolved
- Enter resolution notes (what was done)
- Issue status changes to "Resolved"
Filtering Issues
Use filters to focus on priority items:
- Severity - View only Critical issues
- Status - View only Open issues
- Asset - Issues for a specific piece of equipment
- Date Range - Issues reported in a specific period
Tips
- Address Critical issues immediately - they indicate safety hazards
- Review new issues daily to stay on top of fleet health
- Link issues to work orders for complete maintenance history
- Use resolution notes to document what was done
