Resolving Inspection Issues

When operators report inspection issues or fault codes trigger alerts, knowing how to review and resolve them keeps your fleet safe and operational.

Viewing Inspection Issues

  1. Navigate to Inspection Issues in the Maintenance section
  2. View the list of all reported issues
  3. Key columns include:
    • Asset - Equipment with the issue
    • Severity - Critical, Warning, or Informational
    • Status - Open, Acknowledged, Resolved
    • Item - Inspection item that failed
    • Description - Details from the inspector
    • Reported By/At - Who reported and when

Issue Severity Levels

  • Critical (Red) - Safety hazard, equipment should not operate until fixed
  • Warning (Yellow) - Needs attention soon, may affect operations
  • Informational (Blue) - Minor issue, schedule for next service

Acknowledging an Issue

Acknowledge issues to show you're aware of them:

  1. Click on the issue row to open details
  2. Click Acknowledge
  3. Add any notes about planned action
  4. Status changes to "Acknowledged"

Creating a Work Order from an Issue

  1. Open the issue details
  2. Click Create Work Order
  3. Issue details auto-populate the work order
  4. Add additional information as needed
  5. Save the work order
  6. Issue is linked to the work order for tracking

Marking Issues as Resolved

  1. Open the issue details
  2. Click Mark Resolved
  3. Enter resolution notes (what was done)
  4. Issue status changes to "Resolved"

Filtering Issues

Use filters to focus on priority items:

  • Severity - View only Critical issues
  • Status - View only Open issues
  • Asset - Issues for a specific piece of equipment
  • Date Range - Issues reported in a specific period

Tips

  • Address Critical issues immediately - they indicate safety hazards
  • Review new issues daily to stay on top of fleet health
  • Link issues to work orders for complete maintenance history
  • Use resolution notes to document what was done
