Filtering and Finding Work Orders

Work orders management

Overview

With many work orders in your system, finding specific ones quickly is essential. CLUE provides powerful filtering and search capabilities to locate work orders by status, assignee, asset, date, and more.

Quick Filters

At the top of the Work Orders list, use quick filter chips:

  • Assignee - Filter by assigned mechanic
  • Status - Show only specific statuses (To Do, In Progress, etc.)

Using the Assignee Filter

Step 1: Click the "Assignee" chip.

Step 2: Select one or more mechanics from the dropdown.

Step 3: The list updates to show only their work orders.

Step 4: Click the X to clear the filter.

Status Filtering

Filter by work order status:

  • To Do - Not yet started
  • In Progress - Currently being worked
  • On Hold - Paused (waiting for parts, etc.)
  • Done - Completed
  • Cancelled - No longer needed

Advanced Filters

Click "More Filters" to access additional options:

  • Project - Filter by job site
  • Asset Type - Equipment category
  • Work Order Type - PM, Repair, Machine Down, etc.
  • Date Range - Created or due date
  • Priority - High, Medium, Low

Search

Use the search box to find work orders by:

  • Work order number
  • Asset name
  • Description keywords

Tips

  • Combine filters to narrow results (e.g., "In Progress" + specific mechanic)
  • Save commonly used filter combinations as views
  • Clear all filters to see the complete list again
