Understanding PM Status vs PM Plans

CLUE separates PM into two views: PM Status (current due dates) and PM Plans (service definitions). Understanding the difference helps you manage maintenance effectively.

PM Status

Shows the current state of your fleet's maintenance:

  • Which assets need service now
  • What's coming up soon
  • What's overdue
  • Work order status for each item

Use PM Status to: See what needs attention today.

PM Plans

Defines what service is needed and when:

  • Plan names and descriptions
  • Service intervals (hours, days, miles)
  • PM items within each plan
  • Which assets use each plan

Use PM Plans to: Set up and modify service schedules.

How They Work Together

  1. Create a PM Plan with service intervals
  2. Assign assets to the plan
  3. CLUE calculates when each asset is due
  4. PM Status shows current due dates
  5. After service, counters reset automatically
