How Access Control Works in CLUE

CLUE uses role-based permissions to control what users can see and do. Understanding these roles helps administrators set up appropriate access for their team.

Accessing Company Settings

Administrators can manage organization settings by clicking Company Settings in the Admin section of the sidebar.

Company Profile Settings

The Company Profile tab includes:

  • Company Logo - Upload your logo for branding
  • Company Name - Your organization's display name
  • Address - Business address
  • Phone Number - Contact number
  • Time Zone - Default time zone for the organization
  • Start Week On - First day of the work week
  • Working Days - Select which days are working days
  • Measuring Units - Imperial or metric

Common User Roles

  • Admin - Full access to all features and settings
  • Manager - Can view reports, assign work, manage team
  • Mechanic - Access to work orders, timecards, inspections
  • Operator - Limited access for field operations
  • Viewer - Read-only access to reports and dashboards

Permission Categories

Permissions are grouped by feature area:

  • Assets - View, create, edit equipment records
  • Work Orders - Create, assign, complete maintenance tasks
  • Reports - Access to analytics and exports
  • Admin - Organization settings and user management
