Assigning Assets to Projects

Overview

Link equipment to projects to track which assets are working at each job site. Asset assignments help with resource planning, cost allocation, and utilization reporting.

Methods of Assignment

From Project Detail

Step 1: Navigate to DIRECTORY → Projects and select a project.

Step 2: Find the "Assigned Assets" section.

Step 3: Click "Add Asset" or the plus icon.

Step 4: Search and select assets to assign.

Step 5: Save changes.

From Asset Detail

Step 1: Navigate to DIRECTORY → Assets and select an asset.

Step 2: Find the Project field.

Step 3: Select the project from the dropdown.

Step 4: Save changes.

Via Dispatch

Creating a dispatch automatically assigns the asset to the destination project.

Viewing Assigned Assets

On the project detail page, see:

• List of all assigned equipment
• Asset types and counts
• Assignment dates

Impact of Assignments

Assignments affect:

• Reports - Costs and hours allocated to project
• Dispatch - Shows asset's "home" project
• Track Everything - Filter map by project
