Running the Utilization Report

Learn how to access and analyze the Utilization Report in CLUE's Fleet Financials. This report helps you track equipment usage rates, identify underutilized assets, and make data-driven decisions about your fleet.

Understanding Fleet Utilization

The Utilization Report is part of CLUE's Fleet Financials module, which provides comprehensive financial and operational metrics for your equipment fleet.

Accessing the Report

1. Click Fleet Financials in the main navigation menu
2. The Fleet Overview tab displays by default, showing utilization data

Key Metrics Displayed

The Fleet Overview provides several important utilization metrics:

• Total Revenue - Income generated from equipment
• Cost - Total operating costs
• Profitability - Percentage profit margin
• Active Assets - Number of equipment pieces in use
• Underutilized Assets - Equipment performing below expected usage
• Utilization Rate - Percentage of time equipment is actively used

Understanding the Financial Details Table

The Financial Details table at the bottom shows utilization data broken down by Division and Region:

• Revenue - Income per division/region
• Cost - Expenses per division/region
• Gain/Loss - Net profit or loss
• Profitability - Percentage margin
• Active Assets - Equipment count
• Underutilized Assets - Below-threshold equipment
• Utilization Rate - Usage percentage

Using the Utilization Filters

On the right side of the screen, toggle filters help you focus on problem areas:

• Not Profitable - Show only product groups not meeting profit targets
• Under Utilization - Highlight equipment performing below expected usage rates

Tips

• Use the date range filter (Past 12 months) to adjust the reporting period
• Click Download .xls to export data for further analysis
• Use Filters to narrow down by specific divisions or regions
• Review underutilized assets regularly to optimize fleet allocation
