Creating and Managing Tags

Tags help you categorize and filter assets, work orders, and other items in CLUE.

Accessing Tag Settings

  1. Go to Admin > Company Settings
  2. Select Tags from the menu

Creating a New Tag

  1. Click Add Tag
  2. Enter a tag name
  3. Choose a color for easy identification
  4. Select which items can use this tag
  5. Click Save

Tag Categories

  • Asset Tags - Label equipment by project, condition, or purpose
  • Work Order Tags - Categorize maintenance by type or priority
  • Project Tags - Group jobs by client or region

Using Tags

  • Add tags when creating or editing items
  • Filter lists by tag to find specific items
  • Use in reports for better analysis

Tips

  • Keep tag names short and consistent
  • Use colors to make tags visually distinct
  • Review and clean up unused tags periodically
