Why it matters
controls the full system around it.
An Inspection Template starts with what the crew needs to check. Template Manager controls the full system around it. Who it applies to. What each item requires. When Approval is needed. How long Inspection Reports are kept.
Join us for a live walkthrough under Admin > Templates. See how to build, manage, preview, and use templates across maintenance work.
A practical walkthrough of Template Manager. See how to build, manage, preview, and use templates across maintenance work.
Preview prebuilt templates in the Library and add them to My Templates. Start a new template from scratch. Or use Import With AI to turn a PDF or Excel file into a draft you can edit and save.
Choose Inspection, PM Checklist, Fuel Report, or Oil Sampling. Then set Asset Types, Product Class, Make, Model, Serial Number prefix, Sub-organizations, and User Roles.
Add Categories and place Items inside each one. Drag to reorder or nest sub-items under a parent. Choose from 15 item types and set the rules for each item.
Set compliance, recurring checks, draft access, meter readings, comments, report emails, and retention. Then choose No Approval, Single Approval, or Two-Step Approval.
Build one category of items and assign it to many templates. Change it in one place. Every assigned template carries the change, and Clue warns you when other templates are affected.
Mobile Preview shows the template as the crew sees it on a phone. Print it to PDF. Then attach it to an Asset QR code, a Work Order, a bulk maintenance job, or a PM Plan.
The final 15 minutes are open for live questions about Template Manager and how your team can use it.
Maintenance managers, shop supervisors, safety and compliance managers, fleet managers, and equipment managers.
